Haskeir Cottage Self Catering Accommodation
Thank you for choosing to book your stay at Haskeir Cottage. We hope you enjoy your stay. When You make a booking You are entering a legal agreement with Us, therefore please read our terms and conditions of booking below. The legal agreement commences on the date we receive your deposit.
Booking Terms and Conditions for Self Catering
These Booking Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Scotland and apply to all Bookings except where We agree in writing other terms. By making a Booking You are deemed to accept these Booking Terms and Conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights.
The Property is to be used for the purposes of a holiday let to which Section12 (2) and paragraph 8 of Schedule 4 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 apply. The booking contract confers a right to occupy the accommodation for the agreed period only. The maximum stay that can be agreed is 28 days.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us. You accept these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and accept responsibility for paying for the account for the whole stay. The maximum number in the party is 2. The property is not equipped or suitable for children.
A booking shall be agreed by Us in writing via a letter of confirmation sent by email. All bookings are subject to availability and in the event of unavailability We will inform You by email. A booking is confirmed on receipt of the required deposit.
The booking form must be completed and sent to Us listing the names of all the members of the party. A confirmed booking can only be amended by agreement between Us and You in writing.
To secure Your Booking, a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total price of the accommodation is payable at the time of an agreed booking. The booking will be held for up to 3 working days pending receipt of the booking deposit. The full amount is due at the time of booking if it is less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.
The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. We will send You advance notification that the balance is due. If the balance of payment is not received by the stated date, the Booking will be treated as cancelled, the dates will be marketed again and the deposit forfeited.
We accept payment by direct bank transfer. We do not accept cheques.
The prices for the accommodation include the use of towels and bed linen, electricity, oil-fired central heating, LPG gas for the cooker hob, and use of the wifi. The wifi data use is limited to 6 GB per week and is therefore suitable for emails and web browsing, but not high data use activities.
The booking contract is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as published will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events arising outside Our control then We would be forced to cancel Your booking. You will be advised as early as possible. We would refund all monies paid by You without delay. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund and you will not as a result have any further claims against Us.
Booking Cancellation and Insurance
If You cancel more than 8 weeks in advance of the arrival date, then the deposit will be retained by Us and any payment received by Us made on the full balance will be returned to the Customer by bank transfer.
If You cancel within 8 weeks of the arrival date, 100% of the rental fee will be forfeit. If We succeed in re-letting the property, a refund or partial refund will be made by bank transfer taking into account the rental fee received (which may be reduced).
To safeguard against cancellation charges or other unforeseen eventualities guests are recommended to arrange their own holiday insurance.
Arrival and Departure Times
Every effort will be made to make the property available from 4 pm on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.
